Looking at your list of accomplishments for the year puts my own literary habits in sharp relief. 118 books in one year? That’s incredible. Especially considering all of the other stuff that’s on your list.
In 2024, things I read that weren’t online include… part of the manual to my dishwasher and enough Magic the Gathering cards to make my eyes hurt probably because the light was too dim for me and I should have been using reading glasses. Which is a few dozen cards. Perhaps my own list would seem more impressive if I weren’t comparing myself to a professor of The Humanities.
It’s nice that “cancer scare” appears on your list rather than “cancer diagnosis.” That must have been stressful but I’m glad the outcome wasn’t worse.
Thanks for sharing the images of what you read in 2024! I see Firefly stuff that I didn’t know existed but now I want to read. And your list helps me realize I want to start reading “Azimov’s” again. I’m not sure I’ll make it happen in 2025 but it’s a good goal for me.
Azimov’s is indeed a gem!
