About 8 years ago, my son and I were walking into the UCD Comprehensive Cancer Center. I was there to perform my Chronic Pain: A Comedy show. Dante said it was “ironic that you’re doing this in the center for the one thing you don’t have. Yet.”
The time has come for me to walk into the Cancer Center for the normal reason. I will have a lumpectomy in a couple of weeks. About a month after that, I’ll start radiation (every weekday, for 4-5 weeks).
(I will likely have a medical device implanted in my back after radiation but before Winter Quarter classes start, while I’m off for Fall Quarter.)
And then 5-10 years on estrogen blockers.
